The Resort is situated at the foothills of the grand Gunung Raya (Celebration Mountain). The Gunung Raya Golf Resort has three hundred acres of former rubber farm area and was developed by well known United states golf designer Max Wexler. The golf resort has spectacular views and an amazing scenery. The golf course opened in the year 1998 and they have organised many beginner golf competitions over the years.
Continuous remodelling keeps the course in good condition and almost everywhere you will see continuing maintenance taken place. Even the golf carts direction is peppered with yellow-colored blossoms and grasses. Most of the resort holes provide a picturesque perspective of rolling hills and mountains. For instance, the 1st hole from its raised tee, is a slight dogleg right with a nice view of Gunung Raya and the total course.
The fairways are large which enables you to keep the ball in play. Bermuda grass guarantees your ball rests perfectly, waiting to be hit. There is not much OB or risks. The back nine provides more water.
The majority significant holes consist of the Tenth, a 500 meter par-5. The dogleg right hole has water operating while a mountain provides as an obstruction to choose the tiger line towards to the right.
The modern club house and exercise features are sufficient for the golf enthusiast. Overall the golf resort is a good course to play. It will not win any prizes, but nevertheless makes for a perfect round of golf.
